October 25 Ladies Only 4"That's none of your business!" "Oh, yeah?" "How will you make me come there?" "What?" "When did that happen?" "But, didn't you decide against that earlier?" "Now, you've left me no choice!" "Okay, see you tomorrow" "You too". Deepa sat down feeling exhausted. It was a long time since she experienced so much anger and sadness. It was nothing short of emotional blackmail but then it was tough to let go everything she'd done the past two years and isolate herself from the consequences. She couldn't think of any reason why she'd not go. Hema would have made the trip.
The first rays of the sun lifted off the horizon rising like a tower of luminescence above the sea. It was a beautiful sight and one that drove Sowmya to the beach every morning without fail. As she jogged on the sands to the pace of the beats on her Zune, she thought back to the times when achieving this simple feat was a major dream in her life. Life had been good to her the past few years and she was extremely grateful for that. But for Hema, it would have been a disaster. Come to think of it, life now was a gift from Hema! The surf came in suddenly and splashed at her ankles. Brrr. It was so cold in the morning, and something Sowmya hated no end. It was her quick lapse in concentration that now made her stop mid-step in her jog and wait to dry a bit before continuing the run. Oh well, she could use the think break anyway.
Thoughts. If only they were Ferraris :)
